Flume Gorge - The Flume is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty just minutes from our condo. The walls of Conway granite rise to a height of 70 to 90 feet and are 12 to 20 feet apart. The Flume Trail is a 2-mile loop starting at the check-in booths located in front of the Flume Building. The Short Trail/Rim Path is closed and the only option is to complete the full 2 mile loop. The entire loop takes approximately 1.5 hours and finishes at the Flume Building. The walk includes uphill walking and lots of stairs. The boardwalk allows you to look closely at the growth of flowers, ferns and mosses found here.

Lost River - Lost River Gorge & Boulder Caves, located in New Hampshire’s Kinsman Notch just minutes from our condo, is a land of spectacular beauty forged by the powerful forces of nature. Follow the wooden boardwalk trail through the gorge as it winds its way along the Lost River. Explore jagged rock walls, gigantic boulders, rock-strewn glacial boulder caves, and cascading waterfalls. Discover the Forest Adventure Trail, treehouse, and suspension bridge. Elevate your experience by climbing into the Giant Bird Nest to observe a forest that stretches as far as the eye can see.

The Basin - The Ba sin is located in Lincoln NH at the Franconia Notch State Park. This is an easy to get to, handicapped accessible attraction in NH. We visited The Basin in Lincoln New Hampshire. Sign at The Basin reads: “This large pothole in the Pemigewasset River, 30 feet in diameter, and 15 feet deep, had its beginning some 25,000 years ago as the Ice Age came to a close. Water flowing from the melting glacier that filled Franconia Notch eroded the solid granite bedrock. During the thousands of years that followed sand and stones were whirled around by the force of the river causing a boring action that left the sidewalls smooth. The rock formation seen in the stream bed at the outlet has been known for generations as “The Old Man’s Foot”.

Cascade Brook Trail to Lonesome Lake - Check out this 4.9-mile out-and- back trail near Lincoln, New Hampshire. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 29 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking and trail running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are April through October. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.

Cascade Falls - Beauty abo unds here. Bring your fully charged camera and enthusiasm. The setting is tranquil. In spite of the large numbers of visitors, it did not feel overly crowded. People spread out to enjoy the beautiful scenery. This is a nice stop, and I highly recommend it. This area may be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Kancamagus Highway - Directly in front of our Condo, The Kancamagus Highway is a 34.5 mile scenic drive along NH's Rt. 112 in Northern New Hampshire that is well known as one of the best Fall Foliage viewing areas in the country. The Kancamagus Highway is now designated an American Scenic Byway for its rich history, aesthetic beauty and culture. The Kancamagus Scenic Byway takes you through a path cut through the White Mountain National Forest with breathtaking views of the White Mountains, the Swift River, Sabbaday Falls, Lower Falls and Rocky Gorge. The Kanc takes you to an elevation of just under 3,000 feet at its highest point at Kancamagus Pass on the flank of Mt. Kancamagus near Lincoln, NH.

Franconia Notch State Park - Franconia Notch State P ark is located in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest. Franconia Notch is a spectacular mountain pass traversed by a unique parkway which extends from the Flume Gorge at the south to Echo Lake at the north. For eight miles, I-93 winds between the high peaks of the Kinsman and Franconia mountain ranges. Franconia Notch was the home of the famous Old Man of the Mountain, the same "Great Stone Face" immortalized by Nathaniel Hawthorne and Daniel Webster. While you are here, stop at the Flume Gorge Visitor Center and walk through the renowned Flume Gorge, ride the exciting aerial tramway at Cannon Mountain, and visit the New England Ski Museum. Take your time, stop for a swim at Echo Lake, net a trout while fly fishing at Profile Lake, ride your bike on the Recreational Trail, watch for rock climbers, hawks, and falcons on Cannon Cliffs, or hike on the Appalachian Trail. Bring the family, stay awhile, and enjoy Franconia Notch State Park.

Loon Mountain - Our condos are located right at the base of Loon Mountain in the heart of the White Mountains. We offer a free shutter to Loon Mountain Resort - New England’s most-accessible mountain ski destination, featuring Superior Snow, Guaranteed and New Hampshire’s Biggest Skiing on 2,100 feet of vertical with 61 trails, eight tree skiing areas, a full progression of award-winning terrain parks, superpipe and halfpipe. Services and amenities include Snowsports School; Children’s Center; Adventure Center offering zipline, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and indoor climbing wall; day and night snow tubing; slopeside spa and accommodations. Ice Castles - Ice Castles is an award-winning frozen attraction located minutes from our condos. The experience is built using hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, fountains and much more.

Clarkes Trained Bears - Enjoy a day of FAMILY FUN! Watch a famous Black Bear Show, be chased by the Infamous Wolfman while on a steam train, plus enjoy great rides and museums! Guests like to cool off on the Water Blaster Boats, scale the walls of the Old Man Climbing Tower and learn to glide on a Segway. The Anaconda Escape water raft ride will speed you through 300 feet of twists and turns. Merlin will turn your world upside-down and will keep you wondering, "What just happened?" From late June through Labor Day the Yandong Chinese Acrobats will amaze you with their contortion, balancing, and agility! There are five museums to enjoy on the Victorian Main Street and four Specialty Shops to browse where you are sure to find a treasure or two. Kids love to dip their own candles or create a wax jar candle, much like sand art. Christmas ornaments are available to be personalized and you can even create your own stuffed animal. Everyone likes to mine for gemstones or fossils at the River City Mining Sluice. Don't forget to buy a popgun and candy at the Maple Cabin before your train ride.
